People In Preservation Nominations Are Open
March/April 2022
We're looking forward to 2022's round of awards to celebrate San Diego County's best historic preservation and cultural heritage projects! Nominations for SOHO's People In Preservation awards are now open, and we are again looking to you to nominate the impassioned people doing outstanding work to preserve, protect, and honor San Diego's architectural and cultural history.
As the fields of historic preservation and cultural heritage conservation continue to evolve, so do the types of projects SOHO recognizes. We invite you to consider nominating projects rooted in historic and cultural research, innovative preservation solutions, applying knowledge of history and cultural heritage to modern day issues, and efforts to protect and convey the tangible and intangible cultures of our region. We encourage you to look at the changes in your neighborhood and city in recent years, and consider the people, buildings, organizations, and places that have been revived or have kept your home's spirit and beauty alive.
PIP winners are announced in May during National Preservation Month. Let's continue to recognize and promote the outstanding work of preservationists in San Diego.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 18, 2022 at 5pm.
