PEOPLE IN PRESERVATION
Do you know of a person or project in the field of preservation that should be recognized? We need your help in identifying the deserving people in your community who have helped to save San Diego's heritage.
We welcome your nominations each year for SOHO's People In Preservation Awards. We look forward to recognizing outstanding achievement in the field of historic preservation at our annual awards event.
It's easy to apply, and if you need assistance we are available to help.
Important points to know before you get started
- We have two forms: one for homeowners and another for professional projects.
- Fill out the entire application form; incomplete forms won’t be accepted.
- Include the completed nomination form and photos. You can also add extra info if needed.
For a Person
Nominate someone who has significantly contributed to historic preservation in San Diego
- If nominating a person, they don’t need to live in San Diego but must have made a big impact here.
For a Project
Only completed projects can be nominated
- Projects must be in San Diego County
- Projects can be for homes, businesses, or institutions and may involve restoration, renovation, rehabilitation, or adaptive reuse.
Nomination deadline is Friday, June 13, 2025 at 5pm.
