SAVE OUR HERITAGE ORGANISATION NEWSLETTER
SOHO published its first newsletter in March 1969, just two months after its inception on January 1. Typed and set by hand, the four-page photocopied newsletter with the mission to save one house, set the course of conversation for historic preservation in San Diego for the next 50 years.
The newsletter evolved along with technology with its variety of messages and news for SOHO members, depending on its president and editors, and garnered a title: the first Reflections was in May 1975. The last issue of Reflections after 37 years was in the fall of 2006. At that time SOHO debuted an award-winning full-color 40-page magazine, Our Heritage, with a section called Reflections remaining. In 2015 we went to a fully digital newsletter, Our Heritage News, still in production.
