Dr. Lynne Christenson
New County Historian
Dr. Lynne Christenson has accepted the position of San Diego County Historian. We congratulate and welcome her.
"This is an historic preservation position," comments Dr. Christenson. "My duties include management of archeology sites and historic structures, educational outreach, development of interpretive programs, and training volunteers and docents."
San Diego County Parks and Recreation Department owns and operates important cultural resources like the Los Peñasquitos Ranch house, Guajome Adobe, Campo Stone Store, Bancroft Reanch House and Heritage Park.
"This is a challenge and we will be looking for volunteers to help with surveys and mapping," Christenson says. "Docents are an important part of the County Park system. We are looking for people to help us with Heritage Park, Whaley House, Los Peñasquitos Ranch House and Guajome."
SOHO has great respect and fondness for Dr. Christenson and we are very pleased to be working together.
