Rest in Peace - Mrs. Ulysses S. Grant House

Mrs. Ulysses S. Grant HouseDemolished. Forever lost to San Diego and the Nation. This exceedingly important William S. Hebbard designed Colonial Revival residence was home to the Grant family and the U. S. Grant presidential library. This is a loss of historical integrity to our city that is incomprehensible in this day and age. In utter disbelief we watched with great sadness and horror as this National Treasure was dismantled and destroyed, wiping out for all future generations any vestige of this prestigious chapter of San Diego history.
