President's Message
By Bruce Coons
An exciting year is just ahead for SOHO. The Whaley House and Derby Pendleton Museum complex is going to be one of the most comprehensive endeavors that SOHO has ever undertaken.
California Preservation Foundation has chosen SOHO as its partner for their 2001 Preservation Conference. SOHO is honored and pleased to be part of this all-important event.
SOHO will also be busy with our celebrated Annual Historic Home Tour and our continuing series of preservation workshops.
Our capability to carry out all of these extensive and considerable projects has never been stronger.
Take a look at the brief profiles of our new Board of Directors in this issue. I am proud to serve with this remarkable and impressive group of people, with their years upon years of experience in every imaginable area of historic preservation expertise.
SOHO has been able to attract this caliber of board member because of both the culmination of the organization's thirty-one years of diligence and hard work coupled with the level of intensity that the last few years have brought.
Please accept my personal invitation to meet and greet new and old friends of San Diego's preservation community at our annual Holiday Party.
Wishing you and yours the very best of the season.
