This South African native is considered a scrambling shrub that if kept manicured makes for a nice hedge. However, left alone Tecoma capensis can take on invasive like characteristics taking over large areas and inhibiting other plant growth. Not considered a true honeysuckle, it can reach heights of 10 feet and shows red to orange flowers.
