Kalanchoe delagoensis
MOTHER OF MILLIONS
Crassulaceae family
Madagascar
Due to its drought tolerant and prolific nature Kalanchoe delagoensis has risen to the "noxious weed" category in many regions of the world. It is also toxic to certain animals and has been documented to kill cattle who have ingested it. However, it is a beautiful succulent, native to Madagascar. Kalanchoe delagoensis produces a striking inflorescence that shows off hanging orange colored, bell-shaped flowers. All of Presidio's specimens grow on the upper west-facing slopes of the park.
