Eucalyptus sideroxylon var. rosea
PINK/RED IRONBARK
Myrtaceae family
Southern Queensland/W Victoria
This rosea variation of the Eucalyptus sideroxylon is endemic to small stands scattered about in the eastern regions of Victoria and Queensland, Australia. Equally impressive as other ironbarks it can grow to heights of 90 feet, and displays dark furloughed bark. Presidio Park's single specimen is relatively young and shows its still young, impressive smooth red bark and blue-gray leaves where Cosoy Way, Presidio Drive and Jackson Street converge.
