Thank you to all who participated in this important survey and its publishing. Without their contribution and feedback, it would not have been possible. The original core group logged more than a thousand hours, dozens more were spent by the others involved in plant identifications, and approximately 250 volunteer hours were logged by technical staff in the production of maps, and in the learning and teaching of the ArcMap software produced by ESRI. Bringing Rye's 10-year study into publication was a 6-month project for the SOHO team.

Kathy Jones - Without her very generous donation none of the data collection, data analysis, or maps would have been possible. Mrs. Jones donated a Global Positioning System which made all the field collection work possible, and made possible the creation of the maps. Without her generosity, this project could not have occurred.
Carol Jean Wolcott - She told me many times people like to see flowers, I didn't know why she kept telling me that. Took me several years to figure out what she meant, oh, I should take pictures of the flowers of the plants. She deserves the credit for making the photos happen. Additionally, she was always very encouraging seeming to sense often that I was always at some mental crossroad not always knowing what to do next, but always wiling to remind me that "...the Core Group stands behind you, Parish."
