Acacia podalyriifolia
PEARL ACACIA
Fabaceae family
ESE Australia
The Acacia podalyriifolia has a stunning color to its leaves which are in fact not actually leaves. They are instead called phyllodes. Despite its beauty it is regarded as an invasive weed in many of the regions world-wide in which it has been introduced. It is very prolific in certain environments. However, in Presidio Park the Acacia podalyriifolia remains in check as a nice Australian specimen.
