Let There Be Neon
Not only were the original colors, shape and form preserved, the fundamentally important classic neon tube lighting was saved as well. The Loma Theatre sign above Bookstar Bookstore on Rosecrans Street produces the enticingly warm glow of authentic neon at night. One of the largest signs of its type in the county that is still attached to its original building, the restored Loma Theatre sign encourages other historic sign owners to choose neon! Cheaper, non-historic light sources, like LED, are available, but none are as aesthetically pleasing as the real thing. Much sensitivity was shown in the care, detail and dedication of considerable resources that went into the restoration of the Loma Theatre sign.
