Carol Rea Working year round in a variety of ways to promote historic preservation in her community, our next PIP award goes to a steadfast defender of her town's official historic preservation program. She is president of the Old Escondido Historic District, a member of the Escondido Historic Preservation Commission, and was previously the historic preservation expert on the now dissolved Escondido Design Review Board. Her numerous contributions to promoting historic preservation in Escondido over many years are extensive and include fundraising efforts through the annual historic home tour, educating her community and raising their awareness of the benefits of restoration. She is a tireless advocate and Escondido is simply a better place because of her individual efforts. |
