Christine Mann
Christine Mann challenged the status quo and worked with the University Heights Historical Society to try to save what became known as the Cleveland Street House. She and the University Heights Historical Society prepared a rebuttal report and motivated the community to get involved. While the house was eventually demolished, she did not quit. Instead, she garnered media attention by holding a service at the site to raise consciousness to the loss and to neighborhood preservation issues. An honorable mention is awarded to Christine Mann for her innovative advocacy efforts. |
