Presidio Park
A historic preservation project, the goal of Presidio Park was to save the site and its ruins from surrounding urban growth. It was the culmination of the thought and labor of a lifetime. Presidio Hill and the Serra Museum symbolize the Marston family's endeavors to protect, preserve, and interpret San Diego's history, and represented Marston's values in life: beauty, love of nature, planning, parks, culture, historic preservation, and philanthropy.

In 1946, in his final year of life George Marston sent a long letter to city officials reminding them of Presidio Park's importance and character.
