Mary Gilman Marston, 1879-1987
Along with sister Helen, established Neighborhood House in 1914 in Barrio Logan, to provide assistance to new immigrants to the U.S., and to help those in need during historical periods of hardship including the Mexican Revolution in 1915, the Great Depression, and World Wars I and II.
