Presidio Hills, 1920s and 1930s
Built predominantly in the romantic revival styles of Spanish, Monterrey, Mission, and English Tudor, this neighborhood's designs reflect a deep bench of architectural talent.
Responding to the 1936 call to builders by the Federal Housing Administration to construct small homes, George built a development of single-family homes in the Minimal Traditional style, just below Presidio Hill along Sunset, Mason, Jackson, and Twigg Streets.
