Elizabeth Le Breton Marston Badè, 1884-1987
Early and active member of the Sierra Club, Elizabeth Marston later studied and worked alongside her husband, William Frederic Badè, who she had met in the course of war-relief work, interestingly not in their mutual interest with Sierra Club activities. Badè became a Sierra Club president and John Muir's biographer, and Elizabeth accompanied her husband in his archeological studies of the Middle East, two young children in tow, and completed his archeological studies after his death.
