The style became particularly popular in California and the west, and had a pronounced influence on the bungalow houses.
In 1903 the company became Craftsman Workshops and began a concerted effort to market Stickley's works—by then including furniture as well as textiles, lighting, and metalwork—as Craftsman products. At its height over 100 retailers across the country carried Craftsman Workshops products, keeping exclusive arrangements with only the best stores in each city.
