Protecting Latino Heritage Sites
November/December 2021
The Hispanic Access Foundation recently released a report called An Inclusive Approach to Protecting Latino Heritage Sites.
This important report advocates for the preservation of historic sites that embody the architectural, cultural, and deep historical roots of the Latino community within our shared national identity. It was written by Manuel Galaviz, PhD, Norma Hartell, and Ashleyann Perez-Rivera.
The report includes Friendship Park, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, in San Diego.
SOHO has been actively supporting and working on behalf of Friendship Park for many years. Read more about it.
