Help Strengthen the Federal Historic Tax Credit
November/December 2019
You probably recently helped secure California Historic Tax Credits for restoration and rehabilitation projects. Now let's join together again to do the same nationally.
Members of Congress recently introduced legislation that would "enhance the value of the federal Historic Tax Credit (HTC) and help ensure that historic rehabilitation continues unabated after changes were made to the program in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017," according to the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
Please urge Senator Dianne Feinstein and Senator Kamala Harris to co-sponsor the Historic Tax Credit Growth & Opportunity Act (S.2615). Send them your message via an NTHP form HERE. Or write them each a letter at addresses near the end of this list.
Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR), co-chair of the Historic Preservation Caucus, introduced H.R. 2825, the Historic Tax Credit Growth & Opportunity Act. Learn more HERE.
And please contact your representative with support for H.R. 2825. SOHO has gathered all of our federal, state and local elected officials' contact info HERE.
Thank you for your ongoing support of historic preservation!
