Join us for the final weeks of this beautiful exhibition, Art of the Park: 100 Years of Art in Balboa Park (1915-2015), (closing September 21, 2015) part of our year-long celebration of the Centennial of the 1915 Panama-California Exposition.
The idea for what has been a highly popular exhibit came in 2013 when a local gallery owner sent a card and original watercolor of the Cabrillo Bridge to SOHO thanking us for our advocacy and signing it on behalf of the last century of artists who have called Balboa Park their own.
The closing coincides with the last of six months of Garden Art Shows, September 20, 2015, with original art painted just for the centennial shows and featuring the truly spectacular art of san Diego's best painters with the last show featuring Andrea Gaye, Catherine Grawin, Krentz Johnson, Margaret Larlham, Rita Pacheco, Dot Renshaw, Grace Schlesier, and Liz Weems.
Follow in the footsteps of George Marston, a supporter and patron to San Diego artist, and commemorate the park by choosing an original work of centennial art from one of today's masters! This free art show and sale includes live music and light refreshments, and benefits the Marston House Museum.
