Museum Summer Hours and Call for Volunteers
July/August 2018
The Whaley House Museum is now open seven days and nights a week through Labor Day, except for July 4, when the museum will close at 5pm.
The spirits of the Whaley family invite you to be transported back to the 19th century during these extended hours at Old Town's most famous haunt. This one-of-a-kind museum, San Diego's first brick mansion, is home to the city's first commercial theater, an early county courthouse, the Whaley & Crosthwaite General Store, the residence of a prominent pioneer family, and a whole host of ghosts.
SOHO members receive free daytime admission with their membership card from 10am until 4:30pm. See hours and public admission prices.
Volunteers are welcome! During the busy summer season, SOHO is always looking for extra volunteer help at the Whaley House. Know an aspiring historian age 12-17? Read all about our Youth Docent program HERE; anyone can apply.
