After almost two years of taking precautions, staying home, and missing friends, we suspect you’re more than ready to come out and volunteer with SOHO. There are several enriching opportunities we hope will interest you, such as house museum docent and neighborhood tour leader. Volunteering is a great way to learn about San Diego history, make new friends, and contribute to SOHO’s mission of education and public awareness.

SOHO is looking for architecture, garden/landscape design and history enthusiasts to become volunteer guides of our various group tours through charming historic neighborhoods. This special opportunity offers unparalleled insights into San Diego’s historic sites, architects and their clients, and social history. We are seeking dedicated individuals to learn our regularly scheduled specialized tours and commit to an as-needed schedule for guiding private groups.

We guarantee you will enjoy yourself while expanding your knowledge, experiences, and circle of friends. There are a variety of tours and shifts to choose from. Simply select a morning or afternoon shift, or, if you have flexibility to work either shift, we ask that you indicate that as well.
