A Los Angeles Times travel guide urged our neighbors to the north to head to San Diego for some special sites. Writer Catharine Hamm certainly absorbed one of the key messages of SOHO's Marston Family Legacy exhibit when she toured the Marston House Museum & Gardens. "… [T]he magic of the house is learning how [George] Marston took his business acumen and turned it into a civics lesson—if you do well, remember to do good—and a legacy. Balboa Park, the Presidio of San Diego, the public library system, Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, Anza Borrego State Park and more all have Marston's fingerprints," she wrote.
