SOHO on SDSU Career Panel
May/June 2018
By A. Hayes
To introduce students to viable and thriving careers in the field of history, the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society at San Diego State University hosted a "Careers in Public History" series this spring. As SOHO's Historic Resources Specialist, I was invited to be on the state and local government panel, along with Richard W. Crawford, Special Collections Manager for the San Diego Central Library, and Greg Giacopuzzi, California State Park Interpreter in Old Town. We discussed education, career paths, and organizations. Notably, we all offered similar advice: volunteer now and get involved! See SOHO's Careers in Historic Preservation presentation HERE.
