SOHO's Preservation Month Gift to You
May/June 2018
In 1913, Southern California Home Builders published a promotional booklet called Southern California Bungalow Plans, Vol. 1. This fascinating collection of home designs and floor plans, some of which were built in San Diego, offers a richly illustrated resource for architects, homeowners, historians, and anyone interested in the Arts & Crafts movement.
SOHO board member Erik Hanson discovered the rare and perhaps only surviving copy of this 64-page booklet. In addition to its delightful array of bungalow designs, the catalog documents important architectural, decorative arts, and social developments.
As a National Preservation Month gift, SOHO and Erik Hanson invite SOHO members and supporters to enjoy this special, still relevant reference. Download it HERE, or find it on our website HERE.
