A Warm Welcome: Fridays at the Marston House a Success!
March/April 2025
 |
Since opening our doors on Fridays, the Marston House Museum & Gardens has become a favorite gathering place for neighbors, locals, and SOHO members who appreciate the opportunity to visit without the weekend hustle. Whether strolling the newly restored grounds, walking their dogs, enjoying an intimate tour of the historic home, or browsing the museum shop in the restored carriage house, visitors are embracing this additional day as a time to connect with history and community. Find visitor info online.
During this fresh and colorful springtime, we are delighted to see familiar faces returning each week and to welcome new guests who now have more flexibility to experience this 1905 Arts and Crafts treasure of a home, designed by Irving J. Gill of the firm Hebbard & Gill. And, especially for those visiting from out of town, Fridays provide the perfect chance to explore the estate at a relaxed pace, avoiding the weekend crowds.
This additional day of house tours and museum shop hours would not be possible without the dedication of our staff and volunteers, whose passion ensures that the Marston House remains a vibrant part of San Diego’s cultural and social landscape.
If you haven’t yet stopped by on a Friday, we warmly invite you to do so. Experience the Marston family legacy at a leisurely pace, meet fellow preservation enthusiasts, and take in the beauty of one of San Diego’s finest architectural landmarks. We look forward to seeing you on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10am to 4pm!
