March/April 2024
“Fantastic presentation!”
“Most interesting and informative!”
“Fascinating lecture!”
“Wonderful talk! I learned so much!”
“Terrific!”
The reviews are in, and SOHO’s Penning the Past lecture series kicked off on a high note with its exploration of San Diego’s North Park, featuring Katherine Hon. Katherine's insightful anecdotes and extensive knowledge of North Park's vibrant past kept the audience thoroughly engaged.
The Penning the Past: Insights into San Diego's Historic Neighborhoods and Architecture series on Zoom provides attendees with a deeper understanding of San Diego's history and a renewed appreciation for the neighborhoods that define it. Our inaugural lecture achieved these goals, and more. Kudos to Katherine Hon for a truly memorable and enlightening event!
We hope you will join us for the remainder of this monthly series, which runs through November 2024. Talks this spring feature author Rachel Brupbacher speaking about Miles Minor Kellogg and the Encinitas Boathouses (March 9), Kathy Blavatt on Ocean Beach (April 13), and Gary Mitrovich on Lakeside (May 11).
Penning the Past is free to SOHO members, $10 per lecture for non-members. Click the following for more information, including all the author names and their subjects, and to reserve a spot.
