San Diego's Heritage Preserved: 40 Years of Community Commitment
March/April 2023
SOHO's People In Preservation Awards are back for their 40th year, and we want you to be a part of the celebration! We need your nominations by March 18, 2023 to help us find the best and brightest preservationists out there. Each year, we recognize individuals, groups, firms, artisans, architects, and others who have made significant contributions to historic preservation in San Diego County and beyond.
Please help us identify the most deserving candidates. Preservation might start at home, literally, if you live in a historic house. Or a nomination might embrace a restoration project as enormous as the Hotel del Coronado, honored by SOHO awards in 2021 and 2022. We want to hear about the people who are working tirelessly and conscientiously on buildings, sites, or projects to preserve our shared heritage.
This year’s winners will join an illustrious circle in the making for four decades. That’s a lot of people in preservation doing inspiring and meticulous work on hundreds of projects! Do you know someone who belongs in the winner’s circle for achieving important, lasting preservation feats that enrich us all now as well as our grandchildren?
