Museum Pass Program Supports Community
January/February 2025
At SOHO, we believe in the power of community and the importance of coming together to support vital local organizations. That’s why, for over two decades, we’ve partnered with nonprofits across San Diego County, sharing more than 100,000 museum passes since 2001 to aid in their fundraising efforts.
Lamp of Learning breaks down barriers to college education faced by high-achieving, low-income students through mentorship and scholarships. It is one of the many San Diego nonprofit organizations benefiting from SOHO's donation requests program. |
SOHO's community outreach donation requests program provides in-kind donations of tickets to the Marston House Museum & Gardens and the Warner-Carrillo Ranch House Museum. Each donation package includes four single-use admission passes, designed to enhance an organization’s fundraising events and initiatives.
To make sure we can reach as many groups as possible, organizations are limited to one request per year. Requests are handled on a first-come, first-served basis and must be submitted to SOHO at least four weeks before an event. While the passes cover general admission, they do not include access to special exhibitions or evening tours.
This program is open to 501(c)(3) charitable organizations and schools in San Diego County that use the tickets exclusively for fundraising. We’re unable to accommodate for-profit groups or individual fundraising efforts.
If your organization fits the criteria, we invite you to submit a request by visiting the SOHO Community Outreach Donation Requests page.
At its heart, this program reflects SOHO’s commitment to the people of San Diego. By offering these passes for fundraising, we’re not only helping local nonprofits succeed; we’re also fostering a deeper connection between our communities and the rich history that makes San Diego unique. Together, we can celebrate and protect our shared heritage while empowering the vital work of other dedicated nonprofits throughout the county.
