2024 People In Preservation Nominations are Open!
January/February 2024

If you know of an outstanding preservationist or exceptional preservation project, SOHO invites you to nominate that person, team, or restored or adaptively reused building, for example, for our 2024 People In Preservation Awards. The awards celebrate preservation by honoring exemplary people—professionals, volunteers, motivated homeowners—and high-quality preservation work of enduring value throughout San Diego County. These dedicated people and their projects may be familiar to many, or little known and deserving of taking a public bow.

Recent past winners include historic district trailblazers, a Kwaaymii elder, prominent architects, environmentalists, stained-glass restorers, and a Girl Scout troop. If you think you fit the description, feel free to nominate yourself or your own project using an online form (links below). Read online about inspiring winners through the years.

Help SOHO recognize the admirable stewards who are making lasting contributions to our heritage and quality of life. Winners will be announced in September.

The nomination deadline is Friday, May 31, 2024 at 5pm.

Use a professional nomination form if you are a professional or commercial firm.
