SOHO Giving: Museum Program Helps Community Partners

Nonprofit organizations are an essential part of our community. And at SOHO, we believe in the power of community. Our commitment to making a positive impact goes beyond our daily operations. One way we accomplish this is through our Community Outreach Program, specifically, our Donation Museum Passes Requests initiative.
Our dual purpose supports fellow San Diego-based nonprofits in their fundraising endeavors and raises awareness of historic places and advocacy through education.
We understand the importance of collaboration and community support in creating a thriving environment for everyone’s benefit, and invite you to apply using our basic online form.
SOHO has distributed over 100,000 museum passes since we initiated this program in 2001.
Donation Requests We offer in-kind donations of admission tickets to the Marston House Museum & Gardens and the Warner-Carrillo Ranch House Museum. These donations include four one-time-use admission passes, providing a wonderful opportunity for organizations to enhance their fundraising events.
Eligibility Requirements To ensure fairness and transparency in our donation process, please note the following eligibility requirements.
Geographical Scope Requests will only be accepted from organizations located in San Diego County.
501(c)(3) Status The requesting organization must be an IRS classified 501(c)(3) charitable organization or a school intending to use the tickets for fundraising. Unfortunately, we are unable to donate to for-profit organizations or to individuals raising money for another group.
Submission Timeline Requests are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. To allow for proper planning, donation requests must be submitted at least four weeks prior to the scheduled event.
Annual Limit Organizations may apply for one donation request per year.
Exclusions Please note that the passes do not include admission to special exhibitions or evening tours. Additionally, requests for cash donations will not be considered.
SOHO is excited about contributing to the success of other organizations’ fundraising initiatives and to strengthening the bonds within our community. By coming together, we can create a more vibrant and supportive San Diego for everyone.
