With the new year comes the return of SOHO's popular Terrace Talks program. Beginning this spring, the 2022 series theme, Historic Preservation: Looking to the Future, will offer four sessions focusing on crucial and timely subjects in the field. Each session will feature a panel of experts who will share first-hand knowledge and provide thought-provoking discussion on many present and future concerns in our modern city and county.
As always, historic preservation and heritage conservation play major roles in shaping our future. These talks will explore the ways various preservation tools and objectives align with pressing issues such as affordable housing, diversity and inclusion, climate change and sustainability, and building trades and workforce development. Expert panelists will explore hurdles, incentives, and potential solutions to these paramount subjects.
While you may have attended past Terrace Talks on the Marston House's welcoming clay-tiled terrace, all four upcoming sessions will be hosted via Zoom. We are excited to virtually bring these compelling talks directly to your own home, office—or terrace.
Stay tuned to SOHO's website and social media for the exact dates and times of each session, and to reserve your spot. All sessions are open to the public and operate on a pay-as-you-wish basis, but ticket reservations must be made in advance. We look forward to "seeing" you soon!
