Happy New Year, San Diego Preservationist!

The dawn of a new year, indeed, a new decade, is such a stimulating and optimistic time. It propels us forward with fresh resolve and energy to advance and promote the preservation and protection of San Diego's beloved historic resources.
Historic preservation has been crucial to keeping San Diego's authentic character and unique cultural identities. SOHO remains steadfast and laser-focused in its mission whenever thoughtless, short-sighted development threatens our architectural treasures, seamless early neighborhoods, and cultural landscapes. Time and time again, preservation has been the primary catalyst for revitalization and reinvestment in downtown San Diego and so many of our once neglected neighborhoods.

At SOHO, we feel privileged to protect, manage, and interpret San Diego's historic buildings and places, and we remain as passionate and committed as ever. You can count on us. Why not join us, if you haven't already?

We strive to be as accessible and affordable to as many as possible and as such we have not raised membership dues in more than 15 years, and our events are either free or low-priced.
