Four Murals Portraying California Are Coming Back

The Committee of One Hundred, which recently launched a major campaign to restore the remaining 1935-1936 California Pacific International Exposition buildings in Balboa Park's Palisades, has taken a creative step forward. The group installed temporary reproductions of four huge, thematic murals that originally adorned the California State Building, now the San Diego Automotive Museum, above the building's entrance. Fundraising is underway to replace these panels with permanent tile murals.
