2011 Most Endangered List
of Historic Resources
SOHO's Most Endangered List plays an undeniably important role in supporting the preservation of historic buildings and places by raising public awareness and bringing attention to their plights, whether they are facing the imminent threat of development, demolition or neglect. It is SOHO's goal to eventually celebrate the restoration and rebirth of these important places, not mourn their loss. In fact, if you have followed the Most Endangered List over time, you know that the number of critically endangered resources shrinks or swells depending on the year.
Encouragingly, the overall record shows that in large part because of this powerful tool, over the years SOHO has been responsible for significantly reducing the number of major preservation losses throughout San Diego County.
