Create and Learn
SOHO’s create and learn page is a student resource collection honoring San Diego’s past, enabling students to connect with our history from the comfort of their own home in a fun, engaging way to stimulate curiosity, utilize critical thinking and create a meaningful dialogue about how our past affects our future.
An ideal way to enhance both the classroom and home school setting, our lesson plans, puzzles, coloring pages and projects allow students to dive into their own creativity; our page is ever evolving, and the perfect way for parents and educators to enhance a physical visit to many of San Diego’s local historic sites, allowing students to become historians.

Lesson Plans
Print-and-go lesson plans are designed with California State history curriculum in mind. This page is beneficial for homeschooled youth, and for students unable to visit our historic sites in person. This is a creative (and fun!) way to keep youth connected to history at home or school.
