Paul Johnson - Secretary Born and raised in southeast Texas, Paul W. Johnson graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor degree in Environmental Design and became a licensed architect in Texas and California. His career in historic preservation began when he had the good fortune to work on the rehabilitation of Temple Beth Israel in Heritage Park. In the following decades he has had the privilege to help preserve a wide variety of historic buildings in San Diego and the Southern California region. His architectural firm specializes in historic preservation, museums, visitor centers, and residential architecture. As an author, speaker, and college professor Paul is able to share his knowledge and expertise, and to encourage others in the preservation field. With his late wife, Sarai, he has co-authored numerous historic designation reports, technical reports, Treatment Plans, Historic Structures Reports, and Historic American Building Surveys. Paul currently serves on the County Historic Sites Board and is a volunteer docent at the Marston House Museum & Gardens. |
