Wish List (Scroll)

Authentic period items are needed to help interpret the lives of the people who inhabited the home and to illustrate as authentically as we can the multiple uses of this National Historic Landmark. We are looking specifically for objects related to

  • the experiences of the emigrant trail;
  • the families who loved and worked on the ranch;
  • the early history of Warner's Ranch and its environs.

Because the Ranch House at Warner's is such an early landmark of the western movement many of the items we would like to have are unique and can be hard to find.

We are happy to report we have some main items that have been donated already, the two rope beds have been secured, and a kitchen table and several very rare items are on long-term loan. SOHO purchased some items as they came up in the past year as we were preparing for the site's restoration; we now need to augment the small collection.

Please consider making a financial donation if you can, or if you have any of these items and wish to share them with the public by donating to the museum we would be extremely grateful. The date for all items unless otherwise noted is 1850's through the 1870's with some up to 1900 era items needed as well. This is a partial list, we will add to it as we learn more about what was used at the site through the archeological reports and primary documents. Replica items will be used as well, though they often cost the same as or more than originals.
