SOHO Museum Shop at the Whaley House
Grand Opening - October 13

Finally, a complete shopping source for the preservation enthusiast in San Diego. The SOHO Museum Shop at the Whaley House is preparing for its Grand Opening and reception October 13, 2001.

Our book selection is destined to become the best resource in San Diego for the preservation, restoration, decorator or design enthusiast. You will find we have been able to assemble a remarkable resource quickly mimicking the personal book collections of our own SOHO experts, titles gleaned from the National Trust and small publishing houses, along with important out-of-print books for the serious collector and great children's books and classics, books on every subject from early California days through mid-century modernism, cultural landscapes, and heirloom gardening, decorative treatments for your old home and hands-on how-to restoration manuals, all with SOHO's mission of education in mind. If there is a special book you are looking for let us know, chances are if it is not already on its way it can be special ordered for you.

Do you collect vintage prints? We have, on hand, a large selection of graphic art from the 1860's to the 1960's, Civil War steel engravings, Godey's fashion plates, gorgeous botanicals, Gibson Girls, San Diego vintage photographs and other ephemera that make unique and special gifts for friends and for you.

We have beautiful items with period style, be it Victorian, Arts & Crafts, Spanish and Mission Revival. And no, we have not forgotten our recent past; we have a good selection of mid-century and popular culture. For the Whaley House collector, we have many souvenirs, from note cards to collectors edition chocolates, mugs and totes, the usual and the unusual.

It's not too early to start thinking about holiday shopping. Giving that special gift couldn't be easier this year with SOHO Museum Shop gift certificates available in any amount, and we offer shipping for special orders. The SOHO Museum Shop is open Wednesday through Monday, 10 am - 4:30 pm, in the 1870's Victorian at 2476 San Diego Avenue, in the Whaley House Museum Complex.
