Cedrus deodara v. robusta is a cultivar of C. deodara. Cedrus deodara is endemic to the lower Himalayans, to include Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India at altitudes of between 5,000-10,000 feet. The largest specimens grow to 160 feet and can have a 10 foot diameter. Cedrus deodara has anti fungal and insect repellent properties and is used to make room furniture as well as cabinets where grain and meats are stored.
