Acacia pendula
WEEPING ACACIA
Fabaceae family
ESE Australia (inland)
The Acacia pendula is considered extremely rare and is a threatened species in its very small geographic native region of inland East-South-East Australia. Another of Australia's great timbers, these trees have been used for woodworking and furniture. The Aboriginals also used the Acacia pendula for crafting boomerangs. Fresh cuttings were often used to freshen desks, closets and drawers due to the fragrant smells they exude.
