San Diego's 245th Birthday Celebration

 Come celebrate San Diego's 245th birthday in the gardens of the Whaley House Museum in Old Town, San Diego, on Wednesday July 16 from 1 to 3pm. Emceed by Old Town San Diego Chamber of Commerce president Fred Grand, there will be remarks by San Diego City Council president Todd Gloria and County Supervisor Ron Roberts. Sponsored in part by Old Town businesses, there will be free birthday cake and ice cream, music, dancing, and much camaraderie. It will be a heartfelt celebration, free to all with the goal of each ensuing year garnering interest and involvement from the entire city gearing up for a huge event for the city's 250th year in 2019 with the expectation that the whole city to take part on that day.
Program begins promptly at 1pm. Arrive early to get a seat. This is a free event and all are invited to celebrate our city's birthday in San Diego-where California began!!
