Annual People In Preservation Awards
This is our 34th annual People In Preservation Awards, San Diego's prestigious historic preservation awards.
The PIP Awards are an opportunity for San Diegans to recognize the efforts that property owners and community members have accomplished in preserving the historic resources of our region. People In Preservation encourages historic preservation and acknowledges that good preservation can come in many forms; from the restoration of the most modest residence to the grandest mansion, from our earliest structures to mid-century contributions, and includes both the private and the public sector.
One of California's finest examples of the Arts and Crafts movement, the historic Marston House was built in 1905 for George W. Marston and his wife, Anna Gunn Marston, and was designed by the internationally renowned architects William Sterling Hebbard and Irving J. Gill. George Marston is noted for many things but most prominently as a civic leader whose interest and work in historic preservation, conservation and history is well known.
Celebrate and pay tribute to those who embody the best in preservation in San Diego County. Tickets include a champagne reception before the awards ceremony.
