Fourth Annual Adobe Home Tour in Escondido

11am-4pm

This year is our fourth and possibly best Adobe Home Tour yet. We are featuring five classic adobes that were built between 1946 and 1973. Two of this year's homes are now commercial establishments: the Justine Fenton adobe is now the beautiful Ranch at Bandy Canyon, home to many elegant weddings and today's Hacienda de Vega, one of Escondido's premier dining spots. The other three homes are private residences, including the iconic Castle House built by the Weir brothers.

Each of these unique houses feature adobe construction, often using bricks that were made on the building site. They also contain classic elements such as heavy ceiling beams, unique fireplaces, and tiled floors.

All proceeds benefit the Escondido History Center and tickets may be purchased during their regular office hours. Call 760-743-8207.

Online advance tickets are $25. Go to adobehometour.com to purchase.

Tickets on the day of the event are $30 and may be purchased at the Ranch at Bandy Canyon, 16251 Bandy Canyon Road or at The Castle House, 2775 Las Palmas Avenue.
