Judi O'Boyle
A Chicago native whose interest in things historic began in the seventh grade with a required public school course on Chicago and its history, architecture, and institutions, Judi has a BS in Speech Pathology and Audiology, and an MS in Community Development and Planning from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (SIUC). She was employed in Illinois, Florida, and Missouri in positions encompassing Arts and Culture, community development, and community organizing before moving to San Diego in 1978.

Judi has lived in North Park for 30 years and enjoys its eclectic community because it honors its history and works to preserve it. She was one of the key persons to establish North Park's Maintenance Assessment District, and documented and organized neighborhood efforts to establish the Burlingame Historical District. Recently retired after 27 years at UCSD, Judi is an active volunteer with North Park Planning Committee, North Park Redevelopment Agency (PAC), Voices for Children, and Womens Empowerment International.
