Board of DirectorsAllen Hazard is a native San Diegan, having grown up in a modest workingman's bungalow in National City. Allen earned a BA in History & P.E. as well as a master's degree in exercise science, both from San Diego State University. Allen has worked in health care and higher education for over twenty years; he is currently a health education and exercise science community college instructor at Grossmont College, Southwestern College and National University.
Allen and his wife, Janet, live in a historically designated California craftsman in Mission Hills and along with his wife, has been the driving force behind the first proposed historic district in Mission Hills. They also own Hazard Decorative Arts, an early 20th century antiques and fine reproductions online store. Allen enjoys collecting Arts and Crafts antiques and working in their small garden. Allen serves on the Events & Education and Preservation Action committees.
